Main Ingredients

  • Beef Sirloin 300g (cut into bite-sized cubes)
  • Green Bell Pepper 1/4 (seeds removed, diced)
  • Red Bell Pepper 1/4 (seeds removed, diced)
  • Yellow Bell Pepper 1/4 (seeds removed, diced)
  • Onion 1/4 (roughly chopped or diced)
  • Button Mushrooms 3 (trimmed and quartered or diced)
  • Garlic 3 cloves (thinly sliced)
  • Broccoli 1/6 head (cut into bite-sized florets)
  • Butter 1 tbsp
  • Herb Salt (to taste)
  • White Wine 1 tbsp (for removing odor)

Steak Bite Sauce

  • A1 Sauce 3 tbsp
  • Ketchup 1 tbsp
  • Mustard 1 tsp (Dijon or whole grain)
  • Worcestershire Sauce 1 tbsp
  • Oyster Sauce 1 tsp
  • Brown Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Oligosaccharide Syrup 1 tbsp

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Gently pat dry the sirloin steak to remove excess blood, then cut it into approximately 2 to 2.5 cm cubes. Cutting them too small might cause moisture loss during cooking, so aim for a substantial bite-size.

Step 1

Step 2

In a bowl, toss the cubed beef with herb salt and 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix well to marinate the meat. The olive oil helps prevent the pieces from sticking together and adds flavor. Letting it marinate for about 10-15 minutes will enhance the taste further.

Step 2

Step 3

In a small bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients: A1 Sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and oligosaccharide syrup. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Feel free to adjust the sweetness or saltiness to your preference.

Step 3

Step 4

Peel and thinly slice the garlic cloves. Slicing them into thin pieces will release their aroma effectively, enriching the overall flavor of the dish.

Step 4

Step 5

Trim the stems of the button mushrooms and wipe them clean. Quarter them or cut them into bite-sized pieces, similar in size (about 2 cm) to the bell peppers and onion. Dice the bell peppers (green, red, yellow) and onion as well. Using a variety of colorful vegetables will make the dish visually appealing.

Step 5

Step 6

Cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Blanch them in boiling water with a pinch of salt for just about 1 minute. Avoid overcooking; they should remain crisp-tender. Immediately rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process and preserve their vibrant color.

Step 6

Step 7

Heat a pan over high heat. Add the marinated sirloin cubes and quickly sear them until the exterior is nicely browned. The key is to cook them briefly to lock in the juices and keep the meat tender.

Step 7

Step 8

Once the outside of the beef is seared, add 1 tablespoon of butter to the pan. Swirl it around to coat the meat as it melts, adding richness. Then, turn off the heat and carefully remove the seared beef from the pan to a separate plate. This prevents the beef from overcooking and ensures its tenderness.

Step 8

Step 9

Using the same pan (no need to add more oil), add the sliced garlic over medium heat. Sauté until fragrant.

Step 9

Step 10

Once the garlic is aromatic, add the diced onion and sauté until it becomes translucent. The sweetness of the cooked onion will blend beautifully with the sauce.

Step 10

Step 11

When the onion is softened, add the quartered button mushrooms and cook until they are lightly browned and tender.

Step 11

Step 12

Next, add the blanched broccoli and the diced bell peppers (green, red, yellow) to the pan. Stir-fry over high heat for a short time to maintain the crispness of the vegetables. Add a tiny pinch of salt to enhance the natural flavors of the vegetables.

Step 12

Step 13

Once the vegetables are partially cooked, return the seared beef to the pan. Pour in 1 tablespoon of white wine to help eliminate any gamey odors. Let the wine evaporate.

Step 13

Step 14

Pour all of the prepared steak sauce into the pan. Toss everything together quickly to coat the ingredients evenly. Continue to cook until the sauce thickens slightly and clings to the food. Finish with a grind of black pepper for an extra layer of flavor.

Step 14

Step 15

Transfer the beautifully cooked steak bites to a serving plate. Sprinkle with chopped parsley for an elegant finish. This dish is also delicious served over rice as a hearty steak rice bowl!
