Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon Flour (using a regular soup spoon as a measure)
- 1 Tablespoon Milk (using a regular soup spoon as a measure)
- 1-2 Tablespoons Honey (using a regular soup spoon as a measure, adjust to taste)
- 2 Tablespoons Water (using a regular soup spoon as a measure)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a wide bowl or container, place 1 tablespoon of flour. (Measure using a regular soup spoon).
Step 2
Pour 2 tablespoons of water over the flour.
Step 3
Using a spatula or spoon, mix the flour and water thoroughly. It’s important to mix until there are no lumps and you have a smooth batter.
Step 4
Once the batter starts to come together, add another 1 tablespoon of water to adjust the consistency. (Total of 3 tablespoons of water used).
Step 5
Continue mixing until the batter is neither too thin nor too thick, but has a slightly loose consistency, similar to a thin pancake batter.
Step 6
Now, add 1 tablespoon of milk to the batter and mix gently. The milk adds a smoother texture and a richer, creamy flavor.
Step 7
The batter should now be a smooth mixture of water and milk, with a pourable consistency.
Step 8
Add 1-2 tablespoons of honey to the batter and mix well again. Adjust the amount of honey to your preference; use 2 tablespoons if you like it sweeter.
Step 9
The batter will turn a slightly darker color due to the honey. Transfer this batter into a microwave-safe container. (Ensure your container is microwave-safe).
Step 10
Microwave for 50 seconds. Start with 50 seconds and check for doneness. You can add another 10-20 seconds if needed, but be careful not to overcook, as it can become hard.
Step 11
Once taken out of the microwave, your delicious Kkul Tteok is ready! Enjoy it warm for the best chewy and sweet experience. You can also garnish with roasted soybean powder or nuts for extra flavor.
