Main Ingredients- 170g pickled radish (Danmuji, equivalent to one of two half-moon shaped pieces)
Seasoning- 1.5 tsp sesame oil
- A pinch of black sesame seeds (adjust to taste)
- 1.5 tsp sesame oil
- A pinch of black sesame seeds (adjust to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the pickled radish. The recipe uses one of two half-moon shaped pickled radish packages. Adjust the quantity based on the type of pickled radish you are using.
Step 2
Cut the prepared pickled radish into bite-sized pieces. Aim for pieces that are not too thin and can be easily eaten in one bite for the best texture. Place all the cut radish into a bowl. You can julienne it or cut it into small squares.
Step 3
Add 1.5 teaspoons of sesame oil and a sprinkle of black sesame seeds to the bowl with the pickled radish. The amount of sesame oil can be adjusted to your preference, and black sesame seeds add a nutty flavor and texture. Gently mix everything together with your hands or chopsticks until the ingredients are evenly combined.
Step 4
Once all the seasonings are well incorporated into the pickled radish, transfer it to a serving dish. This delicious seasoned pickled radish is now complete! It’s a perfect accompaniment to a warm bowl of rice.
