  • 1 Tbsp oligosaccharide (adjust sweetness)
  • 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar
  • Add more oligosaccharide to taste for extra sweetness.

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, it’s a good idea to blanch the sausages in boiling water for a minute to remove excess grease and enhance their flavor. Then, we’ll make some cuts on the sausages. If you don’t score them, they might burst open along the sides during cooking, making them look messy. I made diagonal cuts on half of them and vertical, flower-like cuts on the other half, which looks quite appealing when served.

Now, let’s prepare the amazing special sauce that will make this Ssoya stir-fry so delicious! In a bowl, combine 10 Tbsp ketchup, 1 Tbsp gochujang, 1 Tbsp oyster sauce, 1 Tbsp oligosaccharide, 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic, and 1 Tbsp vinegar. Mix them well. (Feel free to add more oligosaccharide if you prefer it sweeter.) While most other vegetables can be added directly, it’s best to lightly blanch the broccoli beforehand. In our household, we often buy a few heads of broccoli, blanch them, freeze them in portions, and use them whenever needed for convenience.

Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the scored sausages and stir-fry them briefly until they are lightly golden. If you’re using vegetables like carrots that take longer to cook, it’s best to add them first. The vegetables in today’s recipe cook quite quickly and only need a light sauté to retain their crispness.

Once the sausages are lightly cooked, add all the prepared vegetables to the pan. Stir-fry them quickly over high heat for just a minute or two. The key here is to keep the vegetables wonderfully crisp!

When the vegetables are slightly tender-crisp, pour in all the prepared special sauce. Add about 1/4 cup of water. Stir and cook everything together. Adding water prevents the sauce from burning and helps it coat the ingredients evenly. Cooking with a little water allows you to simmer the dish longer without it sticking to the pan, ensuring the flavors meld beautifully. Once the sauce is well combined with all the ingredients, your delicious Ssoya stir-fry is ready!
