Delicious Kimchi Fried Rice Recipe

A satisfying one-bowl meal for one! Introducing our amazing Kimchi Fried Rice. This simple yet deeply flavorful recipe will capture your taste buds.
Main Ingredients- About 1/4 head of well-fermented kimchi (or about 2 rice bowls)
- 1 bowl of rice (approx. 200g)
- 2 Tbsp cooking oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Chop the kimchi into bite-sized pieces, about 1cm square. Cutting it too finely might affect the texture, so aim for a comfortable size. If your kimchi is particularly sour, you can add a little sugar later.
Step 2
Heat 2 Tbsp of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped kimchi and stir-fry. For a deeper flavor, you can add about 3 Tbsp of kimchi juice. Sprinkle a pinch of black pepper to remove any off-odors, and add half a tablespoon of oligosaccharide (or sugar) to balance the sourness. Stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes until the kimchi becomes tender.
Step 3
Once the kimchi is sufficiently stir-fried, add 1 bowl of cooked rice. Gently break up any clumps of rice with your spatula and mix well with the kimchi. Add 1 Tbsp of oyster sauce for a savory umami boost. You can also use a combination of soy sauce and sugar if you prefer.
Step 4
When the rice and kimchi are evenly combined, drizzle in 1 Tbsp of sesame oil. Increase the heat to high and stir-fry quickly for about 10-20 seconds to infuse the fragrant sesame oil. Your delicious kimchi fried rice is now ready! It’s best enjoyed immediately while hot.
