Main Ingredients- 1 pack of store-bought Inari sushi kit
- Appropriate amount of ham (choose according to your preference)
- 2 bowls of cooked rice (prepare warm)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the ham. Dice the ham into approximately 0.5 cm cubes so there’s a pleasant chewiness when you bite into the sushi. If serving to children, you can chop it smaller. This size offers a nice texture.
Step 2
Heat a lightly oiled pan over medium heat. Add the diced ham and sauté until it’s lightly browned and slightly crispy. The ham will release some of its own fat, so you only need a small amount of cooking oil. Sautéing the ham enhances its flavor significantly.

Now, let’s prepare the sushi rice. In a large bowl, place 2 bowls of warm cooked rice. Ensure the rice is not too hot, as it could tear the inari pouches. If the rice is very hot, let it cool slightly. Add the sautéed ham and the seasoning sauce packet that comes with the Inari sushi kit.

Using a spatula or spoon, gently mix the rice, ham, and seasoning sauce until everything is well combined. Don’t mash the rice. For the inari pouches, gently squeeze out any excess liquid, following the instructions on the kit. Be careful not to squeeze too hard, as they might break.
Step 5
Carefully open each inari pouch and fill it with the prepared rice mixture. Don’t overfill, as the sushi might burst. Gently shape the rice as you fill. Arrange the filled Ham Inari Sushi nicely on a plate. Your delicious homemade Ham Inari Sushi is now ready to be enjoyed!
