Essential Ingredients
  • 1 serving of warm cooked rice
  • 1 packet of seasoned seaweed (gim)
  • 1 can of tuna, drained
  • 2 slices of processed ham
  • 1 egg
  • 1 handful of fresh cabbage
  • 2-3 leaves of crisp lettuce
  • 1 segment of well-fermented kimchi

Flavoring Agents
  • 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 pinch of toasted sesame seeds

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients needed to make the delicious Bob-Burger. Wash everything thoroughly. Using warm rice will help it mix better and taste more delicious.

Step 2

Open the canned tuna and drain as much oil as possible using a sieve. Draining the oil well will prevent a greasy taste and result in a cleaner flavor.

Step 3

Place the drained tuna in a small bowl. Add mayonnaise and toasted sesame seeds to create a creamy and flavorful tuna-mayo filling. Mix well.

Step 4

Rinse the well-fermented kimchi under running water to reduce some of its sourness, then chop it finely. Lightly oil a pan and stir-fry the kimchi. Add a little sugar to create a sweet and tangy flavor. Slice the processed ham and egg, then fry them until golden brown.

Step 5

Shred the cabbage thinly. Place it in a bowl, drizzle with mayonnaise and ketchup, and gently toss to create a crisp and refreshing cabbage salad. Be careful not to overmix.

Step 6

Prepare a piece of plastic wrap. Crumble the seasoned seaweed (gim) by hand and spread it evenly over the plastic wrap. The seaweed will help the rice stick together and add extra flavor.

Step 7

Place the warm rice on top of the crumbled seaweed. Gently mix the rice and seaweed together with your hands until well combined. Ensure every grain of rice is coated with the seaweed flavor.

Step 8

Line a plate with plastic wrap and spread a thin layer of the rice-seaweed mixture. Then, neatly layer the stir-fried kimchi, ham, egg, tuna-mayo filling, lettuce, and cabbage salad on top of the rice. Layering them carefully to prevent mixing is key.

Step 9

Finally, use the remaining rice mixture to cover the layered ingredients. Shape it into a burger form by covering everything with rice.

Step 10

Once the top is covered with rice, use the plastic wrap to tightly shape the Bob-Burger, ensuring it doesn’t fall apart. Wrap it securely with the plastic wrap to maintain its form.

Step 11

Carefully cut the well-shaped Bob-Burger in half. A colorful cross-section will be revealed, showing the abundant fillings. It looks appetizing just looking at it!

Step 12

Now, enjoy your delicious homemade Bob-Burger! It’s perfect as a nutritious snack for kids or as a simple meal. Enjoy your meal!
