Cute Egg Toast
Adorable Egg Toast Made with Bread Slices
Weekends feel incomplete without a bread slice dish! So, I made a bread slice dish to welcome the weekend.
Ingredients
- 4 slices of bread
- 2 eggs
- 2 slices of butter
- Jam
- Spread
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare two slices of bread by creating a space for the egg in the center. Gently press down with a glass or cookie cutter to make a circular hole, being careful not to tear the bread. This creates the perfect vessel for the egg.
Step 2
I used a glass I had at home to create a neat, round shape. Just press down firmly while cutting to avoid ripping the bread.
Step 3
On the two bread slices without holes, spread your favorite jam or spread. Whether you prefer the sweetness of strawberry jam or the creaminess of cream cheese, the choice is yours!
Step 4
Place one slice of butter on each of the jam-spread bread slices. Then, carefully place the bread with the cut-out holes on top, completing the basic structure of your toast.
Step 5
Gently crack one egg into the hole of each toast. Be delicate to ensure the yolk remains intact for that perfect runny center. A sprinkle of parsley on top adds a lovely aroma and visual appeal, though it’s optional.
Step 6
Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) for about 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the egg is cooked to your liking. I found the egg whites needed a little more time, so I baked mine for an additional 5 minutes. Adjust the baking time based on your oven’s performance.
