Curry Pork Cutlet Rice Bowl: A Delectable Homemade Treat
How to Make Delicious Curry Pork Cutlet Rice Bowl at Home
I made this curry pork cutlet rice bowl for my husband who often enjoys it when dining out. It’s a comforting dish that brings the restaurant experience right to your table.
Main Ingredients- 1 Onion
- 6 Small Potatoes
- 2 Cheese Pork Cutlets or Regular Pork Cutlets
Curry Seasoning- 4 Curry Roux Blocks (adjust quantity according to product instructions)
- 4 Curry Roux Blocks (adjust quantity according to product instructions)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the potatoes and onion which will form the base of your delicious rice bowl. Dice the potatoes and onion into bite-sized cubes, about 1.5 cm. Cutting them too large might prolong cooking time, while too small might make them lose their texture. Aim for a consistent, moderate size.
Step 2
Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the diced potatoes and onions and sauté until they begin to soften and turn slightly golden. Stirring occasionally will help them cook evenly and release their natural sweetness.
Step 3
Once the vegetables are tender, pour in enough water to cover them for the curry. Bring the water to a simmer, then add the curry roux blocks. Stir well to dissolve the roux completely.
Step 4
Continue to simmer the curry over medium heat, stirring frequently to prevent sticking, until it thickens to your desired consistency. This process allows the flavors to meld beautifully, creating a rich and savory sauce.
Step 5
While the curry is simmering, prepare the pork cutlets for a delightful crunch. If using an air fryer, preheat it to 180°C (350°F). Place the pork cutlets in the air fryer and cook for about 7 minutes. Then, flip them and cook for another 6 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. (Note: Cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer model and the thickness of the cutlets. Check for doneness in the last minute or two.)
