Crispy & Tender! Satisfying Korean Tofu Pancakes with Minari and Oriental Dressing
Easy Tofu Dish Featuring Minari and a Simple Dressing
Whip up a delightful appetizer or a side dish with this simple tofu recipe enhanced by a quick dressing. This dish offers a wonderful contrast of textures – a golden, slightly crispy exterior and a soft, tender interior. The refreshing herbal notes of minari (water parsley) and the tangy oriental dressing create a perfectly balanced flavor profile, making it an ideal accompaniment to drinks or a healthy addition to your meal.
Main Ingredients- Tofu 300g (1 block)
- Vegetable oil 2 Tbsp
- Salt 1 tsp
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Begin by preparing the tofu. Slice the tofu block into 7 long pieces. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of salt evenly over the tofu pieces and place them in the hot pan. Pan-fry until golden brown and slightly crispy on one side, ensuring you cook them sufficiently for that satisfying crispness.
Step 2
Once the first side is golden brown, carefully flip the tofu pieces. Sprinkle a little more salt on the other side and continue to pan-fry until it’s also golden brown and cooked through. Arrange the cooked tofu on a serving plate, placing them close together without overlapping. This arrangement helps prevent the dressing from dripping out between the pieces.
Step 3
Now, prepare the fresh minari. Wash the minari thoroughly and separate the leaves from the stems. Arrange the minari leaves attractively over the pan-fried tofu. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of oriental dressing specifically over the minari. Finally, sprinkle 1 teaspoon of black sesame seeds on top for a beautiful garnish. This completes your elegant and delicious tofu dish, perfect as a side or a light meal!
