Make Deliciously Crispy Sweet Potato Chips in Your Air Fryer
Here’s a recipe for sweet potato chips that I often make as a healthy snack! They’re incredibly simple, making them a great guilt-free alternative to store-bought cookies. Enjoy the satisfying crunch!
Ingredients- Sweet Potatoes (as desired)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the sweet potatoes you want to use for making delicious chips. Have as many as you’d like to eat, adjusting the quantity as needed.
Step 2
Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly and peel them, or you can leave the skin on. Then, slice them into uniform chip shapes, about 2-3mm thick. If they’re too thick, they won’t be crispy, and if they’re too thin, they might burn, so be mindful of the thickness. Pat the sliced sweet potatoes dry with a paper towel; this helps them become even crispier. Arrange the sweet potato slices in a single layer in your air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap. Cook at 200°C (392°F) for 13 minutes. Flipping them halfway through will help them cook evenly.
Step 3
Once cooked, carefully remove the sweet potato chips from the air fryer and transfer them to a cooling rack or plate. We recommend letting them cool for about 10 minutes after cooking. This allows them to cool down just enough to achieve the perfect crispy exterior and sweet, tender interior. For an extra treat, try dipping them in honey or maple syrup for a delightful twist!
