Crispy Shrimp Cutlets Made with Fresh Shrimp Patties
A Special Shrimp Cutlet Recipe Using Authentic Fresh Shrimp Patties
Recently, I prepared some burger patties using freshly handled shrimp. As I found eating them as burgers a bit monotonous, I decided to transform them into delicious shrimp cutlets! These patties, seasoned simply with salt and pepper to highlight the natural sweetness of the shrimp, are so flavorful on their own that I craved them just as they were. While handling fresh shrimp does require time and effort, the result is truly outstanding, more than compensating for the labor! Experience the wonderful combination of crispy exterior and tender, juicy shrimp inside with these homemade shrimp cutlets.
Main Ingredients- 1 Fresh Shrimp Patty (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/4 Red Cabbage (thinly shredded)
- 5-6 Dill Pickle Slices
- 1 Squid Ink Bread or Bun
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the ‘shrimp patty,’ the star of this recipe. Making homemade shrimp patties by handling fresh shrimp can be time-consuming as it requires freezing. For detailed instructions on how to make shrimp patties, please refer to the link below. (Shrimp Patty Recipe Link: @7023187) Once your shrimp patty is ready, heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Pan-fry the shrimp patty until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Ensure it’s cooked thoroughly for that perfect crunch.
Step 2
Select a large, attractive plate. Nicely arrange the thinly shredded red cabbage in the center of the plate. The crisp texture of the red cabbage cuts through the richness of the shrimp cutlet and adds a fresh flavor, making it an excellent complement.
Step 3
Around the shredded red cabbage, arrange the sliced dill pickles along the outer edge of the plate. You can substitute these with other pickles like bread-and-butter pickles or spicy pickles, depending on your preference.
Step 4
Now, take your squid ink bread or bun, which has a striking black color. Tear the bread into pieces by hand and artfully scatter them around the plate. The bread adds a fun visual element to the overall presentation.
Step 5
Looking closely at the bread you’ve placed, it might even resemble charcoal dust! This dark, striking ‘charcoal’ is actually the bread, adding a unique visual flair that makes the shrimp cutlet stand out.
Step 6
Finally, place the golden-brown, crispy shrimp cutlet in the center of the plate, atop the bread and vegetables. Just before serving, generously drizzle tartar sauce over the shrimp cutlet. Enjoy the delightful combination of warm, crispy shrimp and creamy tartar sauce. Your impressive shrimp cutlet dish is complete!
