Try making this amazing garlic bread at home right now!
Ingredients
- 4 slices of baguette
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 10g butter (softened at room temperature, about 1 Tbsp)
- Generous amount of chopped parsley or parsley flakes
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s make the garlic sauce. In a bowl, add 1 tablespoon of butter (about 10g) that has been softened at room temperature. It will soften sufficiently just by leaving it out, so no need to microwave it. To this, add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and a generous amount of parsley (chopped or flakes) for extra flavor.
Step 2
Mix the prepared garlic sauce ingredients well with a spoon or spatula until you have a smooth, lump-free sauce. This amount is enough to generously coat all 4 slices of baguette. (Note: This recipe comfortably fits 4 slices of baguette in most standard rice cookers.)
Step 3
Spread the prepared garlic sauce evenly over the top surface of each of the 4 baguette slices. Place the sauced baguette slices in the bottom of the rice cooker, ensuring they don’t overlap. Select the ‘Bake Fermented Bread’ (or similar baking function) on your rice cooker and set the timer for 15 minutes.
Step 4
After 15 minutes, the garlic bread removed from the rice cooker will be beautifully golden brown and crispy on the outside, while the inside will be wonderfully moist from the absorbed garlic sauce. It’s incredibly delicious when enjoyed warm!
Step 5
For a variation, you can mix 1 Tbsp pesto, 1 Tbsp mayonnaise, 1/2 Tbsp sugar, and 1 Tbsp minced garlic to create an alternative sauce. Spread this over the baguette slices and bake for 15 minutes using the ‘Bake Fermented Bread’ function for a different, equally delightful garlic bread experience.
