Feeling peckish in the evening? You can easily make a crunchy Ramyeontang snack in the microwave! This recipe is perfect for a quick and satisfying treat.
Ingredients- 1 packet of instant ramen (any flavor works!)
- 1/2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp ramen soup powder (from the ramen packet)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, open the ramen packet and take out the ramen noodles. Set the soup powder aside for later.
Step 2
Keep the ramen noodles inside their original plastic bag. Use your hands to break the noodles into bite-sized pieces. It’s best to break them into chunks rather than making them into fine crumbs, so you still have a nice texture to chew.
Step 3
Place the bag with the broken noodles back into the microwave. Heat in 30-second intervals, repeating 2-3 times, or until the noodles turn a golden brown color, similar to the picture. Keep an eye on the noodles to prevent them from burning, as microwave wattages can vary. Adjust heating time as needed.
Step 4
Carefully remove the bag of crispy noodles from the microwave (it might be hot!). Keep the noodles in the bag.
Step 5
Now, measure out 1 tablespoon of the ramen soup powder and 1/2 tablespoon of sugar that you set aside earlier. These seasonings are key to the delicious flavor of your Ramyeontang!
Step 6
Add the measured ramen soup powder and sugar into the bag with the noodles.

Seal the bag securely. Hold the bag and shake it vigorously up and down, and side to side! Make sure the bag doesn’t burst, and shake well to ensure the seasoning coats every piece of noodle evenly. This step is crucial for flavor distribution.
Step 8
Voila! Your delicious Ramyeontang is ready. You can enjoy it immediately while it’s still warm for a satisfying crunch, or let it cool slightly for maximum crispiness. For an extra touch, you can sprinkle some sesame seeds on top!
