Crispy & Juicy Air Fryer Chicken Breast
Effortless Homemade Chicken Breast: Crispy Outside, Juicy Inside (feat. Air Fryer)
Hello everyone! Today, I’ll show you how to make delicious chicken breast that’s crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, just like those pre-seasoned pepper chicken breasts you find in stores, but made easily at home! We’ll be using frozen chicken breast to create a flavorful and special dish. It’s especially wonderful when served with fresh spring rolls (Vietnamese rice paper rolls)! Your follows and comments are greatly appreciated! 😊
Essential Ingredients- 2 chicken breasts (thawed from frozen)
- Black pepper, to taste (generous sprinkle)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your chicken breasts by thawing them slowly in the refrigerator. Make shallow cuts across both sides of the chicken breast. This helps the seasoning penetrate better and ensures the chicken cooks evenly and stays tender inside.
Step 2
Line the bottom of your air fryer basket with parchment paper. This makes cleanup so much easier later! Place the scored chicken breasts side-by-side on the parchment paper.
Step 3
Now, generously sprinkle black pepper over the chicken breasts. You can hear the ‘tok tok’ sound as you sprinkle. (Tip: No need for extra salt. The pepper and the chicken’s natural flavor are delicious on their own. If you prefer a saltier taste, consider using herb salt instead of plain salt.)
Step 4
Skip preheating the air fryer. Place the chicken breasts in the basket and set the temperature to 200°C (390°F) for 13 minutes. We’ll cook one side first.
Step 5
After 13 minutes, check the chicken breasts – they should be lightly cooked. Flip them over to cook the other side. They might not be fully cooked through yet, so flipping is essential for even cooking.
Step 6
On the flipped side, sprinkle more black pepper. (In my recipe, I used a good amount of pepper, and if you love pepper, you can add more at this stage for extra flavor. Adjust the quantity to your liking!)
Step 7
Cook again at 200°C (390°F) for another 10 minutes. A total cooking time of about 23 minutes should result in a nicely browned exterior and a moist, tender interior.
Step 8
Once the cooking is complete, remove the chicken breasts and check them. The pepper seasoning should have created a crispy texture on the outside, while the inside remains juicy. Doesn’t it look appetizing?
Step 9
You can enjoy the grilled chicken breast as is, or serve it with spring rolls for a more elaborate meal, just like I did! Slice and plate it for a beautiful presentation. The great advantage of making it yourself is that you can enjoy a generous and delicious meal at a much lower cost compared to buying pre-seasoned chicken breast. Enjoy your meal!
