Crispy & Fluffy! The Ultimate Air Fryer Potato Wedges for Beer Lovers
How to Make Perfect Air Fryer Potato Wedges at Home
Making these golden, irresistible potato wedges is the perfect way to elevate your beer-drinking experience. Enjoy a delicious snack that’s crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, made effortlessly with your air fryer.
Ingredients- 7 medium-sized potatoes
- 3-4 Tbsp avocado oil
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1 tsp curry powder (or to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Thoroughly wash the potatoes using baking soda to scrub away any dirt, as you’ll be leaving the skin on. This ensures a clean and safe snack.
Step 2
Cut the potatoes into wedges. Aim for 6 wedges from larger potatoes and 4 from smaller ones. A thickness of about 1.5 cm is ideal to prevent them from breaking apart.
Step 3
Soak the cut potato wedges in cold water for about 5 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain them well, and then pat them completely dry with paper towels. This drying step is crucial for achieving a crispy texture.
Step 4
In a bowl (or a disposable plastic bag for easier cleanup), combine the dried potato wedges with avocado oil, salt, and curry powder. Toss them gently until evenly coated. Using a plastic bag and shaking it is a great way to ensure even coating without getting your hands messy.
Step 5
Arrange the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket or on the tray, ensuring they don’t overlap too much. Overlapping can lead to uneven cooking. Air fry at 185°C (365°F) for 10 minutes.
Step 6
After 10 minutes, flip the wedges over to ensure even browning. Return them to the air fryer and cook for another 10 minutes. A total of 20 minutes of cooking time will result in perfectly golden, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside potato wedges.
