  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Water (for boiling)

  • Parsley flakes, to taste
  • 2-3 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese (optional, for extra flavor!)

Dipping Sauce

  • Chili Sauce (to taste)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Peel the potatoes using a vegetable peeler and wash them thoroughly under running water.

Step 2

Cut the prepared potatoes into approximately 0.7-1 cm thick, bite-sized pieces. Using a mandoline slicer or a knife, cut them evenly. You can adjust the thickness according to your preference.

Step 3

Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil, adding 1 tsp of salt. Once boiling, carefully add the cut potatoes and blanch them for about 5 minutes. Be careful not to overcook them until they become too soft.

Step 4

Drain the blanched potatoes using a colander. Handle them carefully as they will be hot.

Step 5

Pat the potatoes dry thoroughly with paper towels. Removing excess moisture is crucial to prevent splattering oil during cooking and to ensure crispiness.

Step 6

Place the dried potatoes in a bowl. Add white pepper (or regular pepper), parsley flakes, and olive oil. Toss well to ensure the seasonings coat the potatoes evenly. For an extra savory flavor, you can mix in grated Parmesan cheese.

Step 7

Arrange the seasoned potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap. Air fry at 160°C (320°F) for 10 minutes. Then, shake the basket to flip the potatoes and cook for another 10 minutes. Check the crispiness periodically and adjust the cooking time as needed, usually for a total of 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. (Cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer model.)
