Main Ingredients
  • 10 fresh oysters
  • A little carrot (julienned)
  • A little cabbage (julienned)
  • 1/4 onion (julienned)
  • 1/2 cheongyang pepper (seeds removed, finely minced, optional)
  • Generous amount of mozzarella cheese (adjust to taste)
  • 7 slice olives (halved)
  • 2 slices whole grain bread
  • Cheese powder (Parmesan or Grana Padano, etc.)

Seasoning & Others
  • 1.5 Tbsp mayonnaise (adjust to taste)
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • A little cooking oil

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the vegetables for the pizza topping. Julienne the carrot, cabbage, and onion. Finely mince the cheongyang pepper after removing the seeds. (You can omit this if you prefer less spice.)

Step 2

Heat a pan and add the julienned cabbage and carrot. Pour in 2 tablespoons of water and stir-fry over medium heat until the vegetables become translucent and most of the water has evaporated. This method keeps the vegetables tender yet crisp.

Step 3

Push the cooked vegetables to one side of the pan. Add a little cooking oil to the empty space and sauté the julienned onion until it becomes translucent and fragrant. The sweetness of the onion will enrich the pizza’s flavor.

Step 4

Prepare the fresh oysters by rinsing them twice and draining them thoroughly. Ensuring the oysters are well-drained prevents a fishy smell and ensures they cook properly.

Step 5

Gather the sautéed vegetables and onions to the side. Place the oysters in the center of the pan. Sear them quickly on both sides over high heat for a very short time, just until they are cooked through. Overcooking can make the oysters tough.

Step 6

Sprinkle the finely minced cheongyang pepper evenly over the oysters and vegetables. This is recommended for those who enjoy a spicy kick!

Step 7

Now, generously top with mozzarella cheese. Keep the heat on medium to allow the cheese to melt beautifully. Using plenty of cheese will result in a wonderfully stringy and delicious pizza.

Step 8

Arrange the halved sliced olives decoratively over the pizza topping. The salty flavor of the olives enhances the overall taste of the pizza.

Step 9

Once the mozzarella cheese is melted and slightly golden brown around the edges, turn off the heat. Be careful not to burn the cheese.

Step 10

Prepare two slices of nicely toasted whole grain bread. Spread mayonnaise evenly on one side of each slice of bread. (Feel free to use your favorite sauce or jam, or omit the mayonnaise entirely for a different flavor!)

Step 11

Spread half of the prepared oyster topping evenly over the mayonnaise-smeared bread slices. Sprinkle some cheese powder on top, and it’s ready to be enjoyed!

Step 12

Spice adjustment tip! Increase the amount of cheongyang pepper or add more if you desire a spicier pizza. If you prefer a milder taste, simply omit the cheongyang pepper.
