Crispy Choco Pie Sandwich
A New Twist on Choco Pie: Crispy Choco Pie Bread
I gave the Choco Pies chilling in my fridge a warm, crispy ‘coat’! This treat is wonderfully crispy on the outside, and decadently sweet and soft on the inside. A delightful experiment for your taste buds!
Ingredients- 2 slices of bread
- 1 Choco Pie
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare all your ingredients for this delightful Choco Pie bread. You’ll only need two slices of bread and one Choco Pie to create this unique dessert.
Step 2
Take your slices of bread. Using a bread knife, carefully trim off the crusts from all sides of the bread. Then, use a rolling pin to flatten and spread each slice of bread thinly and evenly. This step is crucial to ensure the bread holds the Choco Pie filling without breaking.
Step 3
Place the Choco Pie onto one of the flattened bread slices, centering it. Carefully place the second slice of bread on top to form a sandwich. Gently press down with your hands, especially over the Choco Pie, to mold the bread around it.
Step 4
Continue to gently press the sandwich to help the Choco Pie and bread meld together. Your goal is to make the sandwich flatter, allowing the Choco Pie to spread within the bread. Be careful not to press too hard, which might tear the bread.
Step 5
Using a fork, firmly press along the edges of the bread sandwich. This action seals the filling inside, preventing it from leaking out during cooking and creating a neat, defined edge for your treat.
Step 6
Now, place the sealed sandwich in a lightly oiled pan over low heat. Cook slowly, pressing down gently with a spatula as it cooks. The key is to achieve a crispy exterior without burning the bread. Low heat allows the chocolate and marshmallow inside to melt beautifully.
Step 7
Check the sandwich; it should be a beautiful golden brown and feel delightfully crisp to the touch. The bread has now achieved that perfect toasted crispiness, ready to enclose the molten center.
Step 8
The gentle heat has worked its magic, melting the chocolate into a smooth river and softening the marshmallow into a gooey delight. You now have a Choco Pie bread that is wonderfully crispy on the outside and lusciously sweet and soft on the inside. Enjoy it warm for the best experience!
