Today, I’m sharing a recipe for cheddar cheese balls, a snack I often make. These are incredibly easy to prepare using just cheddar cheese and a microwave. Enjoy this delightful crispy and savory treat!
Ingredients- 2 slices Cheddar Cheese

Step 1
First, take your 2 slices of cheddar cheese. For easy cutting, I placed the cheese on its plastic wrapper and used the back of a knife or scissors to cut each slice into 9 equal pieces. Cutting them this way ensures they cook evenly and look appealing in the microwave.

Next, prepare a microwave-safe, wide plate and a sheet of parchment paper (or baking paper). Lining the plate with parchment paper prevents the cheese from sticking and makes cleanup significantly easier.
Step 3
Arrange the cut cheddar cheese pieces onto the parchment-lined plate, ensuring they are not overlapping and have some space between them. Leaving space is crucial to prevent the cheese pieces from sticking together as they cook in the microwave.
Step 4
Now, place the plate with the cheese into the microwave and cook for approximately 2 minutes. Cooking times can vary depending on your microwave’s wattage. Start with about 1 minute and 30 seconds, and if the cheese is puffing up and starting to turn golden, adjust the time as needed. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
Step 5
Once removed from the microwave, your delicious and crispy cheddar cheese balls are ready! Allowing them to cool slightly will enhance their crispiness. They are chewy when warm and crispy when cooled, offering a delightful dual texture. Enjoy these simple and satisfying cheese balls!
