Crispy Beef Brisket Bibimbap: Solves Picky Eating!
A Foolproof Crispy Beef Brisket Bibimbap Recipe Even Picky Eaters Will Love!
Today, I’ve prepared a special dish for my second child, who is sensitive to the texture of vegetables and meat and tends to be a picky eater: ‘Crispy Beef Brisket Bibimbap’! We’ll grill thinly sliced beef brisket until wonderfully crispy for added flavor, and then assemble it with various namul and kimchi from the fridge for a satisfying meal. This recipe is perfect for the whole family to enjoy. Say goodbye to picky eating worries and set a hearty table!
Ingredients (Serves 1)- 100g frozen beef brisket, thinly sliced
- 3 fresh lettuce leaves
- 1 handful of tender baby greens
- 1 spoonful of crunchy seasoned radish (mu saengchae)
- 1 spoonful of crunchy seasoned bean sprouts
- 1 spoonful of flavorful seasoned spinach
- 1 fried egg (sunny-side up, for texture)
- 1 bowl of warm rice
Bibimbap Seasoning- 1 Tbsp sesame oil or perilla oil
- 1 Tbsp Paldo Bibim Sauce (or gochujang to taste)
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil or perilla oil
- 1 Tbsp Paldo Bibim Sauce (or gochujang to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the thinly sliced frozen beef brisket, easily found at the supermarket. Heat a frying pan and add the beef brisket, grilling it until golden brown.
Step 2
It’s important to grill the beef brisket until the edges are nicely crispy and the fat has rendered out. This step ensures a richer flavor and better texture in the bibimbap. Once cooked, place the brisket on a paper towel briefly to absorb any excess oil.
Step 3
In a serving bowl, place 1 bowl of warm rice. Arrange the bibimbap ingredients attractively on top. Finely chop the lettuce and scatter it over the rice, followed by the baby greens, the crunchy seasoned bean sprouts and spinach, and the tangy seasoned radish. Finally, carefully place a perfectly fried egg, with a runny yolk, in the center.
Step 4
Drizzle 1 tablespoon of sesame oil or perilla oil over the ingredients for a nutty aroma. The richness of sesame oil and the fragrant notes of perilla oil will elevate the flavor of your bibimbap.
Step 5
Now, add 1 tablespoon of Paldo Bibim Sauce to bring the bibimbap to life. If you don’t have Paldo Bibim Sauce, feel free to use your favorite gochujang. Adjust the amount of seasoning to your personal preference.
