Stir-fry Seasoning- Vegetable oil 1 Tbsp

- Sugar 1 tsp
- Vegetable oil 1 Tbsp
- Soy sauce 1 Tbsp
- Oyster sauce 1 tsp
- Cooking wine (Mirin or Sake) 1 Tbsp
- Miso paste 1 tsp (adds a fragrant depth of flavor)
- Sugar 1 tsp
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Heat 1 Tbsp of vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the 200g of beef and stir-fry quickly until it’s no longer pink. Use chopsticks or a spatula to break up the meat as it cooks to prevent clumping.
Step 2
Once the beef is almost cooked through, add all the stir-fry seasoning ingredients to the pan: 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp oyster sauce, 1 Tbsp cooking wine, 1 tsp miso paste, and 1 tsp sugar. Stir well to coat the beef evenly with the sauce and continue to cook for about 1 minute.
Step 3
Add the 150g of clean, drained bean sprouts to the pan. Immediately cover with a lid and cook over medium heat for 1-2 minutes, just until the bean sprouts begin to wilt. The key is to keep them slightly crisp, not mushy. Remove the lid and stir-fry for another 30 seconds to let any excess moisture evaporate.
Step 4
Serve 2 bowls of warm cooked rice in individual bowls. Generously spoon the delicious stir-fried beef and bean sprouts over the rice. For an extra touch of flavor, you can drizzle a little sesame oil or sprinkle with sesame seeds. Enjoy your super simple beef and bean sprout rice bowl!
