Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your instant noodles. While any brand works, Samyang noodles are recommended for a richer taste. Start boiling water for cooking the noodles.
Step 2
To make these delicious stir-fried noodles quickly and easily, prepare the seasoning sauce in advance. In a small bowl, combine 1/2 packet of ramen soup powder, 1/2 Tbsp red pepper flakes, 1 Tbsp sesame oil, 1 Tbsp sugar, 2 Tbsp mirin, and 2 Tbsp soy sauce. Mix well. Having the sauce ready ensures a swift cooking process without any rush.
Step 3
Prepare the vegetables to add aromatic flavor. Slice or mince the onion as desired, and chop the green onion into similar-sized pieces. Rinse the bean sprouts thoroughly and drain them.
Step 4
Heat a little cooking oil in a pan over low heat. Add minced garlic (optional) and stir-fry until fragrant. It’s important to let the garlic’s aroma infuse the oil.
Step 5
Add the sliced onion and green onion to the fragrant garlic oil. Stir-fry over medium heat until the onions become translucent. Cooking the vegetables well will bring out their natural sweetness.
Step 6
Now, cook the ramen noodles. Add the noodles to the boiling water and cook for about 70% of the time indicated on the package. This ensures the noodles remain slightly firm and maintain a chewy texture when stir-fried. Drain the cooked noodles in a colander.
Step 7
Add the 70% cooked noodles to the stir-fried vegetables in the pan. Pour in all the prepared seasoning sauce. Gently toss everything together to ensure the noodles are evenly coated with the sauce.
Step 8
Finally, add the washed bean sprouts. To keep them nice and crunchy, stir-fry quickly over high heat – this is key! Adding a small piece of butter at the end will elevate the nutty flavor and overall richness, creating a fantastic stir-fried noodle dish. Serve immediately and enjoy!
