♥ [Newlywed’s Table] The Side Dish You Can’t Stop Reaching For! Dried Shrimp Stir-Fry
Introducing the addictive dried shrimp stir-fry, a side dish that will have you reaching for it constantly, even when you don’t have much appetite! During the summer, food can spoil easily, causing worry. But now, with this sweet and savory shrimp stir-fry, you can put those worries aside and prepare a delicious meal.
Main Ingredients- 1 pack Dried Shrimp (approx. 1 large bowl)
- 1 cup Mixed Nuts (e.g., walnuts)
- 3 Tbsp Sugar
- 1.5 turns Corn Syrup (approx. 1.5 Tbsp)
- Sesame Seeds, to taste
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, heat a pan and add 1 pack of dried shrimp (about 1 large bowlful). Drizzle a little olive oil over them. This helps prevent the shrimp from sticking to the pan and makes them more flavorful.
Step 2
Reduce the heat to medium-low. Gently stir the dried shrimp with a spatula or spoon, ensuring the olive oil coats them evenly. This process removes any raw smell and enhances their nutty aroma.
Step 3
Once the shrimp are lightly toasted, add a generous amount of your chosen nuts (walnuts are highly recommended!). The combination of crunchy shrimp and savory nuts is absolutely perfect.
Step 4
Keeping the heat on low, once the shrimp and nuts are deliciously toasted, sprinkle 1.5 tablespoons of sugar (measured with a regular tablespoon) evenly over them. Turn off the heat briefly and let the residual heat melt the sugar. Once the sugar has melted, turn the heat back on to low and add the remaining 1.5 tablespoons of sugar, stirring gently to combine.
Step 5
After all ingredients are well mixed, turn off the heat completely. Use the residual heat of the pan to drizzle 1.5 turns of corn syrup (about 1.5 Tbsp) over the mixture. Finally, sprinkle with sesame seeds for a beautiful finish. Your delicious dried shrimp stir-fry is ready! It’s a perfect side dish that achieves the ideal balance of shine, sweetness, and savory flavor.
