It offers a refreshing, crisp texture similar to shredded radish kimchi (musaengchae), and the combination with thinly sliced apples makes it even more delightful. Let’s get started!

  • 3 Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1/2 Tbsp Minced Ginger
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar

Carefully wash the cabbage, remove the outer leaves, and then shred it as thinly as possible. While the original recipe suggests a slightly thicker cut, thinner shreds will allow the seasoning to penetrate better, resulting in a more flavorful dish.

Peel the half onion and thinly slice it into shreds.

In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and onion. Gently toss them together and let them sit for about 5 minutes. This step helps to slightly soften the vegetables and prepare them to absorb the dressing.
