  • 1 Tbsp anchovy sauce (or fish sauce)

  • 1/2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp corn syrup (or oligodang)
  • 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1.5 Tbsp sesame oil
  • A pinch of toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/2 Tbsp salt

First, take some coarse salt and rub it all over the cucumber’s surface. This step helps to thoroughly clean off any dirt or impurities. After rubbing, rinse the cucumber under running water until it’s clean and ready.
