Super Simple Pickled Radish Salad Recipe
Today, we’ll make a super simple pickled radish salad using danmuji (Korean yellow pickled radish).
Main Ingredients- 10 slices of pickled radish (danmuji)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare 10 slices of pickled radish. It’s best to season danmuji right after opening the package for the freshest, crunchiest texture. We recommend making smaller batches as needed rather than a large quantity at once.
Step 2
In a bowl, combine all the seasoning ingredients. You’ll need 1/2 Tbsp of fine gochugaru, 1/2 Tbsp of cactus honey powder (if you don’t have cactus honey powder, you can substitute with sugar or stevia; adjust sweetness to your preference), 1/2 Tbsp of anchovy sauce, 1/2 Tbsp of sesame oil, and 1/2 Tbsp of toasted sesame seeds.
Step 3
Using a spoon or whisk, mix the seasoning ingredients thoroughly until well combined and smooth. Ensure there are no lumps.
Step 4
Once the seasoning is smoothly blended, add the prepared pickled radish slices. Gently toss them with the seasoning to ensure even coating. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the radish mushy.
Step 5
Finally, if you’re using the optional green onion, finely chop it and add it to the salad. Toss gently to combine. The addition of green onion enhances both the visual appeal and the fresh, aromatic flavor of the dish. This pickled radish salad is delicious served immediately, or you can chill it in the refrigerator for a refreshing treat.
