- 1/2 Tbsp sugar

- A pinch of sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp water
- 1 Tbsp rice vinegar (or regular vinegar)
- 1/2 Tbsp sugar
- 1/2 Tbsp red pepper flakes (gochugaru)
- A pinch of sesame seeds (for garnish)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s make the special dipping sauce for delicious flat dumplings! In a small bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 3 tablespoons of water, 1 tablespoon of vinegar, 1/2 tablespoon of sugar, and 1/2 tablespoon of red pepper flakes. Stir well with a spoon until the sugar is completely dissolved. This perfectly balanced sauce will elevate the flavor of your flat dumplings!
Step 2
Now it’s time to cook the flat dumplings. Heat a lightly oiled pan over medium-low heat. Add the frozen flat dumplings. Be careful to prevent them from sticking to the pan, and cook them, flipping them occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides. The key is to achieve a beautiful golden-brown color on the dumpling surfaces.
Step 3
Arrange the nicely cooked flat dumplings attractively on a serving plate. Then, drizzle the prepared special dipping sauce evenly over and in between the dumplings. Be mindful of the amount to avoid making them too salty; adjusting the quantity to your preference is recommended.
Step 4
Finally, sprinkle the finely chopped green onions, which have been washed and sliced, over the dumplings. Add a pinch of sesame seeds for garnish, and your wonderful flat dumpling dish is complete! They taste best when enjoyed immediately while warm. If you like, you can also add minced garlic or chopped chili peppers to the sauce for a different flavor twist.
