Creamy & Rich Tuompa Pasta with Jin Ramen
Simple Tuompa Pasta Recipe using Jin Ramen Instead of Shin Ramen
Don’t worry if you only have Jin Ramen at home instead of Shin Ramen! Try making the creamy and rich Tuompa pasta that everyone loves, made special with Jin Ramen. Adding a soft-boiled egg doubles the tenderness and rich flavor, making it an even more perfect meal. I’ll show you how to create a sophisticated dish with simple ingredients!
Ingredients- 1 packet Jin Ramen (mild or spicy)
- 250ml Milk
- 6 Prawns (frozen)
- 1/2 Onion
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 1 slice Cheese
- 1 knob Butter (approx. 10g)
- 1 Egg (optional)
- Pinch of Black Pepper
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, thaw the frozen prawns by soaking them in water. While the prawns are thawing, thinly slice the onion and mince the garlic. Preparing the ingredients in advance will make the cooking process much smoother.
Step 2
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Once boiling, add the Jin Ramen soup base (vegetable packet), ramen noodles, and thawed prawns. Boil for about 3 minutes. It’s important to cook the noodles for the correct amount of time so they don’t overcook.
Step 3
While the noodles are boiling, heat a separate frying pan over medium-low heat and melt a knob of butter. Once the butter is melted, add the sliced onions and sauté until translucent. Then, add the minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant and lightly golden brown. Be careful not to burn the garlic!
Step 4
Once the sautéed onions and garlic are fragrant, pour in 250ml of milk and bring it to a simmer. Reduce the heat slightly once the milk begins to boil.
Step 5
Add half of the Jin Ramen soup base (spicy or mild) to the simmering milk, followed by 1 slice of cheese. Stir well until the cheese is completely melted. The cheese will make the sauce wonderfully smooth and richly flavored.
Step 6
When the cheese has melted and the sauce starts to thicken, add the ramen noodles and prawns that were boiled earlier to the frying pan. Stir-fry for about 1 more minute over medium-low heat, allowing the sauce to coat the noodles and prawns evenly. Finally, sprinkle with a pinch of black pepper for a spicy and rich Tuompa pasta. It’s ready!
Step 7
The egg is optional and can be added according to your preference. If you’d like a soft-boiled egg, gently push the noodles to the center of the pan to create a space and carefully crack the egg into it. Reduce the heat to low, cover with a lid, and let it steam for about 2-3 minutes until the egg white is set but the yolk is still runny. Breaking the yolk and mixing it with the pasta will add an even creamier and more delicious taste!
