Melt Away Your Worries! Creamy Milk Ramen That’s Bursting with Rich Flavor!

Creamy Milk Ramen

Today, I decided to make some milk ramen. Ramen dishes are known for being simple yet incredibly delicious, aren’t they? I’d always wanted to try making ramen with milk, and luckily, I found some milk in my fridge that was expiring today! So, I brewed up a pot of milk ramen. It’s a surprisingly delightful and creamy twist on a classic noodle dish.

  • Occasion : Everyday
  • Cooking : Boil / Simmer
  • Servings : 1 serving
  • Cooking Time : Within 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 packet of instant ramen
  • 550ml milk

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, bring some water to a boil. The amount of water doesn’t matter too much since we’re only cooking the noodles halfway. Just ensure it’s not an excessive amount.

Step 1

Step 2

Once the water is boiling, add only the ramen noodles. Cook them until they are about halfway done. We don’t want them fully cooked at this stage.

Step 2

Step 3

Drain the noodles using a colander, making sure to get rid of as much water as possible. This helps maintain the creamy texture of the milk broth.

Step 3

Step 4

Now, pour 550ml of milk into a pot and bring it to a simmer. The amount of milk can vary depending on the ramen brand. It’s best to refer to the water amount recommended on the ramen package and use that much milk.

Step 4

Step 5

As the milk begins to heat up and starts to simmer, add the ramen soup base first. Adding the soup base before the milk boils vigorously helps to increase its boiling point, allowing the milk to reach a boil faster and cook the noodles more efficiently.

Step 5

Step 6

Once the milk starts to boil, carefully add the noodles that were par-cooked earlier.

Step 6

Step 7

Stir the noodles gently with chopsticks as they cook completely in the milk broth. You’ll notice the color changing to a lovely peachy hue. Keep stirring to ensure the noodles cook evenly and absorb the rich, creamy flavor.

Step 7

Step 8

Cooking ramen in milk results in an incredibly smooth and rich taste! It feels lighter and perhaps even healthier than regular ramen. I made this version super simple with just the noodles and broth, but you can elevate it further by adding vegetables like green onions, mushrooms, or even an egg for a more complex flavor profile. Give this delightful milk ramen a try!
