Homemade Nutritious Perilla Seed Dressing Sauce ♡
Introducing a rich and nutty perilla seed dressing that will make your fresh vegetable salads even more special. Make it yourself for a fresher and healthier experience! Adding pine nuts enhances the flavor depth.
Main Ingredients- 4 Tbsp perilla seed powder
- 2 Tbsp oligodang (corn syrup)
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/3 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp sugar (optional)
- A little pine nuts (for garnish)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a bowl, add 4 tablespoons of perilla seed powder, which adds a rich nutty flavor. Using well-roasted perilla seeds will result in a deeper taste.
Step 2
Add 2 tablespoons of oligodang for sweetness and gloss. You can also use honey instead of oligodang.
Step 3
Pour in 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice to add a refreshing zing. Lemon juice cuts through the richness and balances the flavors of the dressing.

Add 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise for a smooth and creamy texture. If you dislike mayonnaise, you can substitute it with yogurt or plain cream cheese.

Carefully add 1/3 teaspoon of salt to season. You can adjust the amount to your taste after tasting.

If you prefer a sweeter dressing, add 2 tablespoons of sugar. However, if you want to reduce the sweetness, it’s perfectly fine to skip this step. Adjusting to your taste is best.

Using a spatula or whisk, vigorously mix all the ingredients until they are smoothly combined. Continue stirring until you achieve a uniform, glossy dressing with no lumps.
