Introducing a quick and easy recipe for delicious vegetable and bacon fried rice. This recipe is perfect for a busy weeknight meal or a satisfying lunch, using simple ingredients to create a flavorful dish.
Fried Rice Ingredients- 110g Bacon
- 1/2 Zucchini
- 3 Fresh Eggs
- A little Green Onion
- 1/2 Carrot
- 4 Bowls of Cooked Rice
Flavoring Sauce- 1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1/2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1/2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-low heat with a generous amount of olive oil. Add the chopped green onions and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. This step infuses the oil with a gentle onion aroma, enhancing the overall flavor of the fried rice.
Step 2
Dice the zucchini and carrot into approximately 0.5cm cubes. Add the diced vegetables and 1/2 Tbsp of minced garlic to the wok. Turn the heat to high and stir-fry for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still have a slight bite. Stir-frying on high heat helps to retain their crispness.
Step 3
Add the chopped bacon to the wok and continue to stir-fry over high heat for another 5 minutes, or until it’s nicely browned and slightly crispy. The rendered bacon fat will add a wonderful richness to the dish.
Step 4
Lightly beat the 3 eggs in a small bowl. Pour the beaten eggs into the wok and cook, gently stirring, until they are softly scrambled. Then, add 1/2 Tbsp of oyster sauce and stir everything together, cooking over medium heat for about 5 minutes more, ensuring all ingredients are well combined.
Step 5
Finally, add the 4 bowls of cooked rice to the wok, along with 1/2 Tbsp of sesame oil. Stir and break up any clumps of rice using a spatula. Continue to stir-fry over medium to low heat for approximately 5 minutes, ensuring the rice is heated through and evenly coated with the sauce. Gently press down on the rice to help it absorb the flavors.
Step 6
Transfer the delicious vegetable bacon fried rice to a serving dish. Enjoy your homemade fried rice! Since the seasoning is light, it pairs wonderfully with kimchi or other pickled side dishes for a complete and satisfying meal.
