- Seedless Green Grapes (halved)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, sterilize the glass jars or containers you’ll be using for the jellies by immersing them in boiling water. Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water for about 5 minutes until they are fully softened. Properly softened gelatin dissolves smoothly without lumps.
Step 2
To prepare the fruit jelly layers, wash the strawberries, remove the stems, and dice them into bite-sized pieces. Halve the seedless green grapes. Have your hot water ready for dissolving the jelly mixes (around 85°C is ideal).
Step 3
To make the smooth milk jelly base, combine the fresh milk and honey in a saucepan. Heat over low heat. Remove from heat just before the milk starts to boil to prevent it from curdling or boiling over.
Step 4
Add the softened gelatin to the warm milk. Stir gently with a spatula or whisk until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Ensure there are no lumps for a perfectly smooth consistency.
Step 5
Pour the dissolved milk jelly mixture into the sterilized jars or containers, filling them about 1/3 full. It’s important not to overfill, as you’ll be layering the jellies. Once filled, refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours, or until the milk jelly is partially set. It doesn’t need to be completely firm yet.
Step 6
Now, let’s prepare the green grape jelly layer. In a bowl, combine 100g of the green grape jelly mix with 500ml of hot water (around 85°C). Whisk thoroughly until the jelly mix is completely dissolved. Make sure there are no undissolved granules.
Step 7
Arrange the halved green grapes attractively on top of the partially set milk jelly. Carefully pour the dissolved green grape jelly mixture over the grapes. Return the jars to the refrigerator and let them set for at least 1 hour until firm.
Step 8
Prepare the strawberry jelly layer in the same way. In a bowl, combine 100g of the strawberry jelly mix with 500ml of hot water (around 85°C). Whisk gently with a whisk until the jelly mix is fully dissolved. Whisk softly to incorporate the strawberry pieces without mashing them.
Step 9
Now, prepare the second milk jelly layer. Gently pour another 1/3 portion of the milk jelly base over the set green grape jelly. Refrigerate again for 1 to 2 hours until partially set.
Step 10
Arrange the diced fresh strawberries attractively on top of the partially set milk jelly. Carefully pour the dissolved strawberry jelly mixture over the strawberries. Finally, refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, until the jelly is completely firm. This shows the jellies after chilling the milk layer for 2 hours and then adding the green grape and strawberry mixtures for about 1 hour. The colorful layers are visually appealing, and the combination of fruit tanginess and creamy milk results in a flavor that children will absolutely adore!
