Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 fresh tangerine
  • 1 ripe kiwi
  • 1 tomato (or cherry tomatoes)
  • Cream cheese, to taste

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Let’s prepare the fruits for our open-faced sandwich. Peel the tangerine and separate the segments. Peel the kiwi and slice it into approximately 5mm thick rounds. Wash the tomato and slice it thinly, also about 5mm thick. Feel free to use any seasonal fruits or whatever you have in your refrigerator and prefer. Strawberries, blueberries, bananas – anything will work beautifully!

Step 1

Step 2

Now, let’s make the base of our sandwich. Take two slices of bread and neatly trim off the crusts using a bread knife or a regular knife. (You can skip this step, but removing the crusts results in a cleaner, more attractive presentation.) Generously spread a layer of soft cream cheese over each slice of bread. The cream cheese adds richness and balances the sweetness of the fruits. Using square-shaped milk bread will make the cross-section look particularly pretty when cut.

Step 2

Step 3

Arrange the prepared, beautiful fruit slices attractively over the cream cheese. Layering the tangerine, kiwi, and tomato in a visually appealing color combination will make the sandwiches even more appetizing. Feel free to design them creatively, showcasing the shapes and colors of the fruits.

Step 3

Step 4

It’s time to cut the sandwiches into serving portions. Carefully slice them using a bread knife. You can cut them in half or into quarters, whichever you prefer.

Step 4

Step 5

Finally, for a touch of sweetness, lightly dust the sandwiches with powdered sugar. This step is optional, so you can skip it if you don’t have any. Alternatively, a drizzle of honey or maple syrup would also be delicious.

Step 5

Step 6

Arrange the finished fruit open-faced sandwiches on a nice plate for a simple yet elegant brunch presentation. Enjoy your leisurely brunch time with a cup of coffee or tea!
