This recipe enhances the flavor with a milky base, sweet syrup, and pineapple juice. It’s the ultimate summer dessert to refresh your body and mind on a hot day.
Refreshing Summer Fruit Punch Ingredients- 400g ripe watermelon (seeds removed)
- 1 banana
- 1 kiwi
- 3 slices canned pineapple (reserve 5 Tbsp of the syrup)
- 1.5 cups (approx. 300ml) cold milk
- 3 Tbsp sugar syrup (or substitute with honey or corn syrup to taste)
- 5 Tbsp canned pineapple syrup (adds sweetness and aroma)
- Ice cubes, as needed
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s prepare the fruits for our punch. Remove the seeds from the watermelon and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Peel the banana and slice it into round, flat pieces. Peel the kiwi and cut it into similar bite-sized pieces. Take 3 slices of canned pineapple, cut them into appropriate sizes, and set aside about 5 tablespoons of the syrup for later use.
Step 2
Now, let’s make the milky base for the punch. In a blender, combine 1.5 cups of cold milk, 3 tablespoons of sugar syrup, and half of the prepared watermelon (about 200g).
Step 3
Blend the ingredients in the blender until smooth. For a silkier texture, strain the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve. This mixture will be chilled. Place it in the freezer for about 30 minutes to 1 hour, or until it’s almost frozen but still slushy.
Step 4
Cut the remaining watermelon (the half not blended) into cubes. Slice the banana into rounds as prepared earlier. Cut the kiwi into bite-sized pieces. Prepare the chopped canned pineapple as well.
Step 5
Combine all the prepared fruit pieces (watermelon cubes, banana slices, kiwi pieces, and pineapple chunks) in a large bowl or a beautiful glass serving dish. Place the bowl in the refrigerator to keep the fruits cool. Once the blended watermelon-milk mixture is sufficiently chilled from the freezer, carefully pour it over the fruits in the serving dish.
Step 6
Finally, ladle the finished fruit punch into individual serving bowls. Add plenty of ice cubes to make it extra refreshing. Your vibrant and delicious summer fruit punch is ready to be enjoyed! Savor the delightful sweetness of seasonal fruits combined with the creamy milk base.
