Melt-in-Your-Mouth Chewy Three-Color Potato Gnocchi Cheese Gratin Recipe
For all potato lovers, I’m introducing a recipe for chewy potato gnocchi gratin that you absolutely must try! Made from potato starch, these potato gnocchi don’t interfere with broths or soups and have a unique chewy texture that makes you want to keep eating them! This time, I’ve made a rich cheese gratin using colorful three-color potato gnocchi. The wonderfully stretchy, savory cheese and the chewy three-color gnocchi are incredibly delicious!
Ingredients- Three-color potato gnocchi 15 pieces
- Baby king oyster mushrooms 7 pieces
- Cherry tomatoes 5 pieces
- Pizza cheese 1 bag (approx. 70g)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the baby king oyster mushrooms by cleaning them and cutting them in half. Wash the cherry tomatoes under running water and cut them in half as well. Fill a pot with plenty of water and bring it to a rolling boil. Add the three-color potato gnocchi. Once they float to the surface, immediately remove them with a slotted spoon and drain them well.
Step 2
Arrange the drained three-color potato gnocchi attractively in a gratin dish. Then, evenly distribute the sliced baby king oyster mushrooms and cherry tomatoes over the gnocchi for added color and flavor.
Step 3
Generously sprinkle pizza cheese over the prepared ingredients, according to your preference. The more cheese, the more delicious! Next, tightly cover the entire dish with plastic wrap. This will help trap moisture and ensure the ingredients cook evenly. Use a chopstick to poke several small holes in the plastic wrap. This allows steam to escape during cooking.
Step 4
Place the covered gratin dish in the microwave and heat for about 3 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted. The cooking time may vary depending on your microwave’s power, so check to ensure the cheese is sufficiently melted and adjust the time as needed. Once the pizza cheese has melted beautifully, carefully remove it from the microwave. Garnish with fresh young sprouts for a lovely presentation.
Step 5
Time to enjoy the warm gratin! Lift the gnocchi and cheese together with chopsticks to reveal the spectacular sight of stretchy cheese. The chewy potato gnocchi and the savory, creamy cheese combine to fill your mouth with flavor. Each bite offers a delightful mix of savory and chewy textures.
Step 6
This chewy and savory potato gnocchi cheese gratin has a flavor that everyone, young and old, will love. The addictive chewy texture of the potato gnocchi makes it a satisfying meal on its own. Enjoy this simple yet special dish!
