Main Ingredients- 200g King Oyster Mushrooms (Nootari Mushrooms)
- 1/2 Onion
- 1/3 Korean Zucchini (Hobak)
- 1 Green Onion
- 1 Korean Green Chili Pepper (Cheongyang Pepper)
Seasoning Ingredients- 1.5 Tbsp Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2/3 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1.5 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- Pinch of Black Pepper
- 0.5 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1.5 Tbsp Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2/3 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1.5 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- Pinch of Black Pepper
- 0.5 Tbsp Sesame Oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, clean the king oyster mushrooms and then tear them into bite-sized pieces. This helps the seasoning to be absorbed more evenly, making them taste much better.
Step 2
Thinly slice the onion. Cut the Korean zucchini in half lengthwise, then slice them into half-moon shapes. Slice the green chili pepper diagonally to add a spicy kick, and slice the green onion diagonally as well. Cutting the vegetables into similar sizes ensures they cook at a consistent rate.
Step 3
In a large bowl, combine the torn king oyster mushrooms and all the prepared vegetables. Add all the seasoning ingredients (gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, gochugaru, black pepper, and sesame oil) and mix everything gently until the seasoning evenly coats the mushrooms and vegetables. It’s important to mix well so the seasoning penetrates the mushrooms.
Step 4
Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned mushrooms and vegetables to the pan and stir-fry quickly. Continue to cook until the vegetables are tender and the mushrooms are lightly browned. Your delicious king oyster mushroom duruchigi is ready! It’s a perfect side dish for any meal or even as a snack.
