Cooking Instructions

Thaw the frozen sweet pumpkin and cut it into manageable pieces. Peel and chop the sweet potato into similar-sized pieces. Place the sweet pumpkin and sweet potato in a rice cooker, add just enough water to cover them, and steam using the ‘quick’ or ‘porridge’ setting for about 30 minutes. The sweet potato adds natural sweetness and a sticky texture, eliminating the need for added sugar.

To revive the chewy texture of the injeolmi rice cakes from the freezer, microwave them for about 10-20 seconds until slightly softened. Cut them into bite-sized pieces and set aside. Be careful not to overheat, as they can melt.
