  • Roasted soybean powder (for Injeolmi)
  • Black sesame powder (for Injeolmi)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of sugar

Wash the potatoes thoroughly, peel them, and then slice them thinly and flatly to ensure quick steaming.

Place the sliced potatoes in boiling water with a small pinch of salt and steam for 7-8 minutes until tender. Steaming them in a steamer basket is recommended to prevent overflow and achieve a softer texture. You can also steam with the lid open.

While the potatoes are still hot, mash them thoroughly. It’s important to mash them until smooth for a pleasant texture. You can use a potato masher, a rolling pin, or even the back of a flat ladle.
