Ingredients for King Oyster Mushroom Salad

  • 300g King Oyster Mushrooms (trim off the tough ends)
  • A small amount of Carrot (thinly julienned)
  • 1 Cheongyang Pepper (seeds removed, thinly julienned)
  • 1/4 tsp minced garlic
  • About 3 pinches of salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1.5 Tbsp perilla powder
  • 0.5 Tbsp perilla oil

Cooking Instructions

First, trim the tough bottom ends off the King Oyster Mushrooms and tear them into bite-sized pieces. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add a pinch of salt. Blanch the mushrooms for about 30 seconds to 1 minute until slightly tender. Immediately rinse them under cold water to stop the cooking process. Squeeze out as much water as possible by hand. Thinly julienne the carrot and the Cheongyang pepper after removing its seeds.
