Ingredients- 3 large eggs
- 3 Tbsp canned corn kernels
- 2 Tbsp finely diced carrot
- 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
- Shredded mozzarella cheese (to taste)
- 2 slices processed cheese
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Gather all your ingredients for a perfect corn cheese omelet: 3 fresh eggs, 3 tablespoons of sweet canned corn kernels, 2 tablespoons of finely diced carrot, 1/2 tablespoon of minced garlic, a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese, and 2 slices of processed cheese.
Step 2
In a bowl, crack the 3 eggs and gently whisk them with a fork until the yolks and whites are well combined. Don’t over-whisk. Lightly grease a non-stick frying pan with cooking oil, using a spatula to spread it evenly across the bottom. Preheat the pan over medium-low heat, then carefully pour in the whisked eggs.
Step 3
As soon as the egg mixture hits the pan, sprinkle the diced carrots evenly over the surface of the omelet. The carrots will add a lovely color and texture.
Step 4
Once the edges of the omelet begin to set, use a spatula to gently lift the cooked edges and tilt the pan, allowing the uncooked egg to flow underneath. This technique helps create a fluffier and more evenly cooked omelet.
Step 5
When the egg is almost set, sprinkle the minced garlic evenly over the omelet. The aromatic garlic will enhance the overall flavor.
Step 6
Next, scatter the sweet corn kernels over the minced garlic. The delightful pop and sweetness of the corn will complement the savory egg and cheese beautifully.
Step 7
After adding the corn, generously sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top. The cheese will melt and bind all the ingredients together into a delicious filling.
Step 8
Place the 2 slices of processed cheese on top of the mozzarella. As they melt, they will contribute to an even creamier and richer texture.
Step 9
Once all the toppings are added, reduce the heat to low or turn it off. Gently fold one half of the omelet over the other using your spatula to create a semi-circle shape. The melting cheese will help seal the edges.
Step 10
To serve, carefully invert the pan over a plate, allowing the finished omelet to slide out smoothly. Your delicious and cheesy corn omelet is ready to be enjoyed!
