Ingredients- 2 medium potatoes
- 3 handfuls of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 strips of bacon
- Pinch of black pepper
- Pinch of salt
- 3 tablespoons milk

Step 1
First, peel the potatoes. It’s much easier to peel them before boiling. Place the peeled potatoes in a pot filled with water and boil until they are tender when pierced with a fork. This ensures they are cooked through and easy to mash.

Once cooked, drain the potatoes well and immediately mash them thoroughly using a fork or a potato masher. Mashing them while they’re still warm helps create a smoother texture.

Season the mashed potatoes with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. If you’re making these without bacon, consider adding a little more salt to enhance the potato’s natural flavor.

Cut the bacon strips into bite-sized pieces. Cook the bacon in a dry pan over medium heat until it’s nicely browned but still slightly moist. I personally prefer it less crispy so it doesn’t overpower the potato.
