Easy Homemade Gummy Bear Recipe (Haribo Style)
Perfect for kids’ snacks or a charming homemade cafe dessert! Create colorful, adorable gummy bears using your favorite fruit juices. They boast a delightful bouncy texture and sweet flavor, rivaling store-bought versions.
Ingredients for Gummy Bears- 200ml favorite fruit juice (e.g., grape, strawberry, orange juice)
- 2 Tbsp agar-agar powder
- 8 Tbsp sugar (adjust according to the sweetness of the juice)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a saucepan, pour 200ml of your chosen fruit juice. Add 2 tablespoons of agar-agar powder and 8 tablespoons of sugar. Using a whisk or spatula, stir well to ensure the powder ingredients are fully dissolved in the juice without any clumps. Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir continuously to prevent sticking. Once it starts to boil, continue to simmer for 1-2 minutes to ensure the agar-agar is completely melted.
Step 2
Prepare your molds (gummy bear shape or any shape you prefer) that will give your gummies their form. Carefully pour the hot jelly mixture into the prepared molds. It’s advisable not to fill the molds completely to the brim, leaving a little space. Be cautious as the jelly mixture is hot to avoid burns.
Step 3
After pouring the jelly mixture into the molds, let them cool at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes. Then, place the molds in the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour, or until completely set. Once the gummies are firm, gently press the edges of the mold with your finger or carefully invert the mold to release the gummies. Your adorable gummy bears are now ready!
