  • 3 potatoes (medium size)
  • 1 onion (medium size)
  • 1/2 zucchini
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • SB Golden Curry (block curry) 240g
  • Mushrooms (preferred type) a handful
  • Beef (for curry or bulgogi) a handful

Cooking Instructions

Prepare the vegetables and meat by cutting them into bite-sized pieces (about 2-3 cm). Peel the potatoes, finely chop or slice the onion, and remove the seeds from the zucchini and bell peppers before cutting them into large pieces. Trim the stems of the mushrooms and slice them as desired.

Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a large pan or pot over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they become translucent or start to turn golden brown, bringing out their sweetness. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.

Once the onions are nicely browned, add the potatoes, which take longer to cook, and sauté them together. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the outer surface of the potatoes is lightly coated with oil.

Now, add the remaining vegetables such as zucchini, bell peppers, and mushrooms, and stir-fry together. If you have beef in your freezer, add it at this stage and cook. Sauté until the meat is browned on the outside and the vegetables have slightly softened.

Pour in enough water to cover the sautéed ingredients. Adjust the water level based on the amount of ingredients, but remember that the curry will thicken as it cooks, so you can start with a bit less and add more later if needed. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium heat and simmer until the vegetables are completely tender.

Break apart the curry blocks and stir gently with a spatula or ladle until the curry is completely dissolved and smooth.
