Mugwort Cake Ingredients- 100g fresh mugwort (cleaned and trimmed)
- 50g almond flour
- 1 teaspoon salt

Begin by preparing the star ingredient: fresh mugwort. If you have freshly picked mugwort, carefully remove any tough stems and wilted leaves, selecting only the tender, green parts. Rinse the mugwort thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or debris, then gently shake off excess water.

In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour and salt. Use a spoon or whisk to blend them together evenly. Ensure the almond flour is well-aerated and free of lumps for a smooth coating.

Add the cleaned and drained mugwort to the bowl with the almond flour mixture. Gently toss the ingredients together using your fingertips, ensuring each strand of mugwort is lightly coated with the almond flour and salt. Handle the mugwort carefully to avoid crushing it.

Steam the mugwort cake to perfection. Bring water to a boil in your steamer. Once it’s generating a good amount of steam, carefully place the steamer basket with the mugwort on top. Steam for exactly 5 minutes from the moment the steam starts rising. Over-steaming can diminish the fresh aroma of the mugwort, so keep a close eye on the time.
