Blended Marinade Ingredients

  • Pear 2 slices
  • Ginger 1 small knob (garlic clove size)
  • Garlic 6 cloves
  • Onion 1/3
  • Water 3 Tbsp

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the pork ribs under running water 1-2 times until clean. In a bowl, combine 500ml of water and 1/2 cup of soju for soaking. Submerge the ribs for about 10 minutes to remove any blood and gamey odors. This step helps ensure a cleaner taste.

Step 1

Step 2

In a blender, combine the blended marinade ingredients: 2 slices of pear, 1 small knob of ginger, 6 cloves of garlic, 1/3 onion, and 3 tablespoons of water. Blend until you achieve a smooth paste.

Step 2

Step 3

Drain the ribs from the soaking water and place them in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar first and mix well. Adding sugar at the beginning of the marination process helps tenderize the meat.

Step 3

Step 4

Pour the blended marinade paste over the ribs and mix thoroughly with the ribs that have already been tossed with sugar, ensuring all pieces are evenly coated.

Step 4

Step 5

Next, add 4 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of fish sauce, and 2 tablespoons of soju. Mix everything together until well combined, ensuring the marinade penetrates the meat. Let the ribs marinate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.

Step 5

Step 6

Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper and place the marinated ribs and any excess marinade inside. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (392°F) for 5 minutes. Then, reduce the temperature to 170°C (338°F) and cook for 20 minutes. To ensure even cooking and prevent burning, flip the ribs once or twice during cooking and swap their positions within the air fryer. Enjoy your perfectly crispy outside and tender inside pork ribs!
