Air Fryer Open-Faced Toast: Brunch Cafe at Home
Create a Delicious Brunch Cafe Experience at Home with this Air Fryer Open-Faced Toast Recipe
On this beautiful day, I’m tempted to open my own brunch cafe! Today’s special menu at Dongju Kitchen is Open-Faced Toast. I remember seeing a TV show years ago where they made and sold open-faced toast, though I can’t recall the show itself, the recipe stuck with me. I’ve been meaning to make it ever since, and today is the day! Let me show you how to make this delightful open-faced toast right now.
Main Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 fresh eggs
- 8 strips of bacon, ready to be crisped
- 100g of mozzarella cheese
- 2 pinches of dried parsley flakes
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your two slices of bread, which will form the base of your open-faced toast. Gently press down the center of each slice of bread using a cup or your fingers, creating a slight rim around the edge. This helps to keep your toppings contained and looking neat.
Step 2
Next, arrange the 8 strips of bacon in a criss-cross pattern over the pressed-down center of each bread slice. The crispy bacon will add a wonderful savory flavor to your toast.
Step 3
Now, carefully crack one fresh egg into the center of the bacon on each slice. Then, sprinkle a generous amount of mozzarella cheese around the yolk, covering the egg white. As it bakes, the cheese will melt beautifully, creating a rich and creamy texture that complements the egg and bacon.
Step 4
For the final touch, sprinkle about two pinches of dried parsley flakes over the top. This not only adds a lovely touch of green but also enhances the aroma and flavor of your open-faced toast.
Step 5
Carefully place the prepared open-faced toasts onto your air fryer’s dedicated pan or directly into the air fryer basket. Ensure they are placed stably so that the ingredients cook evenly.
Step 6
Place them in your preheated air fryer and bake at 180°C (356°F) for about 8 minutes. You can adjust the time slightly to achieve your desired level of crispiness for the bacon and doneness for the egg. Keep an eye on it to prevent overcooking.
Step 7
After 8 minutes, your perfectly golden and delicious open-faced toast will be ready! Carefully remove them from the air fryer and enjoy immediately while they’re warm. Experience a delightful and effortless brunch right in your own home!
