Ingredients

  • 4 Grilled Vienna Sausages
  • Aged Cucumber Kimchi, appropriate amount (approx. 1 piece)

Seasoning

  • Perilla oil, appropriate amount
  • 1/2 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • Pepper, a dash

Cooking Instructions

First, slice the grilled Vienna sausages into bite-sized pieces (about 1cm thick) and place them in a pan. Lightly rinse the well-fermented cucumber kimchi under running water to adjust its saltiness, then chop it finely and add it to the pan along with the sausages. If the kimchi is too sour, rinse it well and squeeze out excess water.

Now it’s time to add the seasonings. Drizzle a generous amount of perilla oil into the pan. Add half a tablespoon of oyster sauce for umami, and a dash of pepper for flavor.

Keep the heat on low and stir-fry the ingredients gently with a spatula or chopsticks until they are well combined. Continue to stir-fry until the kimchi softens slightly and the Vienna sausages begin to brown.

Once the kimchi and sausages are somewhat cooked, add one serving of warm cooked rice to the pan. Break up any clumps of rice and stir it in. Finally, add a pinch of salt to season. You can adjust the amount of salt based on the saltiness of the oyster sauce and kimchi.
