  • Sliced ham 1 slice
  • Seaweed (kim) a little

Frying Batter Ingredients

Cooking Instructions

First, let’s prepare the filling for the rice croquettes. Finely mince the green and red bell peppers. Also, finely chop the sliced ham. Mincing the vegetables and ham this way will mix well between the rice grains, adding texture and rich flavor.

Heat a pan over medium heat and add a little cooking oil. Add the rice, minced bell peppers, and minced ham, and stir-fry them together. Stir-fry until the rice grains are separated and fluffy, then season with a little salt and pepper. Adjust the seasoning to your taste.

Let the stir-fried rice cool slightly, then we’ll shape it into Rilakkuma. Form one large round shape for the body and one smaller oval shape for the head. Coat the shaped rice first with a thin layer of rice flour, then dip thoroughly in the beaten egg mixture. Finally, coat evenly with breadcrumbs to create the batter. Pressing the breadcrumbs firmly will ensure a crispy texture when fried.

Now it’s time to fry. Preheat frying oil to 180°C (350°F). Carefully place the batter-coated rice croquettes into the preheated oil and fry until golden brown on all sides.
