Simple and Healthy Cabbage Stir-Fry
Enjoy a delicious stir-fry made with cabbage, known for its benefits to the stomach! This recipe uses cabbage to create a simple, mild, and gentle-tasting dish that is not at all irritating. It’s perfect as a side dish for rice or a light meal.
Main Ingredients- 250g cabbage (about 1/4 head)
- 25g carrot (about 1/5 medium carrot)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash and prepare the cabbage and carrot. Remove the tough core from the cabbage and thinly slice it into about 0.5cm thick strips. Slice the carrot into similarly thin strips to match the cabbage’s thickness; this ensures a pleasant texture when cooked.
Step 2
Heat a pan over medium heat. Once the pan is sufficiently hot, add 1 tsp of cooking oil and spread it evenly. This step helps prevent the ingredients from sticking to the pan and ensures they cook uniformly.
Step 3
Add the sliced cabbage, carrot, and 1/2 tsp of salt to the pan. The cabbage might look voluminous at first, but it will shrink as it cooks. Stir occasionally with chopsticks or a spatula, stir-frying for about 3-5 minutes until the cabbage becomes translucent and tender.
Step 4
Once the cabbage is tender, reduce the heat slightly and add 1/4 tsp of sesame oil. Stir well to combine and cook for about 1 more minute to enhance the aroma. This completes your delicious cabbage stir-fry! Be careful not to overcook, as it can release excess water.
